Big Phat Beard is a well-established small batch beard company from Ireland, with much loved oils and balms. They aren’t just about those products though! You can also get clobber from them designed by Dark Hipster, brush and combs and also a beard butter coming soon. Today, though, I’m doing the Big Phat Beard Review – Beard Soap.
A Quick Big Phat Beard Intro
So BPB is a company from Northern Ireland and is run by John. He started making his own oils when he couldn’t find the right product for him and his beard. BPB was born and they have become extremely popular.
There are 4 oils and balms in the collection. Wood Chop, Botanic Nectar, Oriental Wiff and Mercury Air. I have already used and reviewed Wood Chop and it is a stunning oil. They have also got a monster boars hair brush and a wooden comb with a butter on its way.
John has gone into the clothing industry with some awesome designs by artist Dark Hipster. Not only that but he is also on his way to opening a barbers at some point in 2021. There are big things on the horizon for Big Phat Beard but without any further ado, let’s look at the beard soap.
Okay, I’ll come clean (pardon the pun). There really isn’t much of a scent to the black soap from BPB. However, this is actually a good thing and there is a reason for that.
There might be a slight fragrance to the soap but it is barely noticeable. This is actually a good thing as it means you can use any oil after washing your beard and it won’t affect the way the oil smells.
The soap lathers up really well as you rub it onto your beard. The natural ingredients really impress as you work it in under the mane and into the skin beneath. Once washed, rinsed and dried, you can really feel a difference to the hair.
The beard feels really soft and clean and the skin beneath also feels really good as well.
Value For Money
You can get the soap for £10 on its own and that’s not a bad price. It isn’t the cheapest on the market but it is one of the best quality beard soaps out there today.
My main issue with it is the fact it is a soft soap and after a week or so of using it, the bar has crumbled into 2 pieces. On the flip side, I now have 2 BPB soaps!! It isn’t a big problem as the pliability of the soap actually makes it easier to use on the beard.
You can actually get the soap with an oil and balm for £30 which is fantastic value. Check out the full range by clicking the link below.
This soap does everything it says it will. It cleans, exfoliates and makes your beard feel great. It is very soft once it’s wet but that does make it easier to use. Overall I highly recommend it.
Thanks for reading the Big Phat Beard Review – Beard Soap and don’t forget to check the rest of their products out.
Take care and keep growing
