It’s the start of a new week and things for me are starting to return to some sort of normality. Back to the day job and a kind of routine to my life once again. It’s Monday, beardy Monday!
Do I hate Mondays?
I’m not sure what a Monday is really so I have no idea if I actually hate them or not! It’s been a good 2 months since I had to work on a Monday and I think I used to dislike them, but I can’t remember. One thing is certain, Mondays won’t be what they used to, at least for a while anyway.
Routine. I tried to maintain some sort of routine whilst being furloughed but I think that only lasted about 3 days! The thing is I’m not a creature of habit. I like to fly by the seat of my pants and do things differently from others. Work brings some form of stability but no excitement or adventure!
What is normality?
Well, that’s the question isn’t it. Normal to one person is boring to another. It all depends on your personal outlook and what gets your heart racing. For me it’s a little of the unknown. What might happen if I do this? As opposed to knowing exactly how life is planned and what to expect.
Do I live life on the edge? Not really, but I would like to test myself more. Push the boundaries I seem to have enslaved myself to. Venture into the unknown, so to speak.
The Beard in this.
Yes, of course, the beard. Well, that’s my little of anarchy. Having a beard in a world of clean-shaven people. Have that! I don’t grow a beard to be different or to be the same as others. I grow my beard because I love having a beard. My beard completes me as a person and is a huge part of my personality.
Will I keep my beard forever? Who knows? Circumstances change for everyone and one day I might have to shave it off. I would rather not but nothing is guaranteed in life. The future is not yet written, it is only being discovered, one day at a time!
Right, that’s all for today, I’ll be back tomorrow with more beard waffle. If you haven’t already signed up to the newsletter please do. There’s plenty more waffle where this came from!
In the meantime don’t forget that it’s Fathers Day on the 21st June. If you haven’t already checked out my gift ideas you can catch them here… Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5 and Part 6.
Take care and keep growing brothers
